No Instagram influencers took a trip to Love Island this year, as ITV canceled the summer 2020 season. In an effort to prevent spreading the virus, many concerts, festivals, film and TV shoots, and other events have been canceled, rescheduled, or modified. In the United States, that number has risen to over 8.3 million. Globally, there are over 40 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus, identified as COVID-19. The entertainment industry is on pause, but gradually beginning to start up again, as the world battles the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Broadway theaters will remain closed until May 2021.
